Harsha is a serial entrepreneur who founded 3 software companies & number of successful products since his debut in the software industry at the age of 19.
Harsha founded Microimage in 1993 at the age of 19 while at college with few other college students. It was incorporated in 1995 as Microimage (Private) Limited in Colombo, Sri Lanka. Harsha developed the company from a desktop language, software provider to one of the leading innovative software development companies in Sri Lanka with regional presence and global recognition to date. In 2007, Microimage Mobile Media was founded to focus on Media/Broadcast, Mobile Applications & Digital Convergence.
Today, Microimage is considered the most college, start up success story in the ICT industry of Sri Lanka.
Harsha was recognized as the "Most Outstanding Entrepreneur in the ICT/BPO Industry of Sri Lanka in 2007". He also won CMO-Asia Brand Leadership Award at the CMO-Asia Brand Leadership Awards in 2011, Singapore. Harsha was also chosen in the list of 40 under 40 Business Leaders listing compiled by Echelon Magazine - A leading business magazine in Sri Lanka.
Harsha completed executive education at Harvard Business School, USA. He is a member of the ICT/BPO advisory committee of Export Development Board of Sri Lanka. Also, he’s a member of the young leaders committee of Ceylon Chamber of Commerce.
Harsha is a big sports enthusiast and plays badminton from school days. He won the Sri Lanka Mercantile Novices Doubles Badminton Championship in 1998. He is also a big follower of Rugby & Foot Ball. Harsha loves listening to music, playing the guitar, travelling to exotic destinations, cooking & mentoring young start ups/entrepreneurs during his spare time.
